Trainers
Frank and Candie Owens are the owners and trainers of Oakwell Farms. Both grew up riding and showing horses and ponies. Both been in the horse business together professionaly for 32 years; first in Virginia and then in Texas. They have taken riders from the short stirrup to the Grand Prix levels. Both take great pride in the training and care of their horses and riders.
Whitney and Frankie are both riders and trainers. Whitney started
showing at age 6 and has been a professional since 2000. Frankie started showing
at age 14 and turned pro at age 19. Both show in the hunters and jumpers and
ride in the Grand Prix!
